[ how did she get this number? who even knows. ]
You're awake! And you're real. Hi! [ and after a moment, a little embarrassed at the sudden thought that maybe he doesn't remember her: ] It's Kara. From the simulation?
[ bellamy had contacted her; eggsy is the other person she met in the simulation. ]

Eggsy?
[ uh, okay, so he feels slightly weird just sending someone a voice message without being 110% sure it's the right person, but. the odds are high. ] I mean, I'm pretty sure this is you, fingers crossed it's actually you.
[ oh god this is already so awkward. ] So... hi? I thought I'd check in on how you're doing, you know, being here in Olympia and stuff.
[ a beat. ] It's Stiles, by the way, in case you forgot.

I assume you weren't caught in that blast?
I say "assume" because I also presume you'd be clever enough to contact me if you were, but do confirm both guesses at your earliest convenience.

If I promised you it was completely harmless and would only take about two hours, would you agree to help me run an experiment?
[ it's been a couple of days since they last met, a few days since the explosion. james has been taking care of sirius more than he hasn't, and when he started to fall ill himself, he shouldn't be surprised.
another day, and the symptoms get worse. another day more, and james is bedridden. out of it. hurting. but he still has the mind to pick up his device. to pull together a message before he passes out again. ]

watch your health m ate
its not great
[ chances are he won't answer if eggsy messages him back, but if eggsy wanted to go investigate...it's not like james will be in a space to push him away. ]

Are you settling into the new location well?
[ In the days leading up to what is — in her best estimation — Christmas, Peggy will manage to slip Eggsy's gift to him. It's a small, slender box wrapped in plain brown paper and containing, what appears to be, a fountain pen. It, however, functions as anything but. Should he take it apart, Eggsy will find a concealed dagger with a three inch blade. Go further and pop the top off the pen cap and he'll find a miniature compass. God only knows what craftsman in the city Peggy commissioned to create such a thing, but there it is, a replica of one of the tools in her arsenal during the war.
The note, written in her own completely mundane fountain pen, reads: It doesn't explode, but consider it a history lesson of sorts. Happy Christmas! —Peggy ]

[ thomas drops of the present in person on christmas eve. wrapped in simple paper, with a card that only reads merry christmas. i hope it fits. — thomas nightingale, there's a fine wool sweater in a dark red. ]
[ eggsy will find a bottle of scotch on his doorstep, unwrapped, with a small note that reads never heard of christmas before, but enjoy it. dutch. ]
[when eggsy wakes on christmas morning, he'll find a collection of small boxes wrapped neatly in navy paper with gold glitter ribbons. they're set carefully on his dresser, and harry must have snuck in while he was sleeping.
the first contains a snowglobe with a pug resembling jb (and if eggsy thinks back hard enough, maybe he'll remember that was one of the first things he'd asked to see when he was seven). the second contains a black and gold tie, and the third another tie, this one a lookalike to the one he'd lost to gazelle. there's a note as well in harry's sprawling cursive:

A very Happy Christmas to you Eggsy, here's to the proper start of your collection. Thank you as always for your bright presence and allowing me the opportunity to supervise your continued journey to becoming the gentleman I know you are. x H.

[ it would seem the both of them think very similarly when picking out gifts. eggsy's first gift is a hideous snapback cap that he'll somehow, by whatever miracle, probably manage to pull off quite nicely. the second gift comes in the form of a small white box with a set of silver cuff links inside... if he can manage to figure out how to get it open.
the tag, attached the bill of the cap, reads, I was hoping to never have to come anywhere close to the edge of the atmosphere ever again, and yet, here we are, well past the edge. I'm grateful, this time, to have you with me. Happy Christmas — Roxy. ]

[ The package is small, the note in Bruce's elegant cursive, Past time you had your own. Merry Christmas. - A. Foster. Inside is a silver watch — waterproof, can survive a significant drop, with a small light up dial that measures atmospheric pressure or depth, in metres. It has two dials, one actually adjusts the time and date, the other if pressed rapidly is for the hidden camera. He can hook it up to his phone. ]
[ thomas has been thinking about it for a while now. eggsy knows about his magic, but -- thomas hasn't been entirely truthful with him, not about his own age. he hasn't lied, no, but -- withholding information is its own form of dishonesty, isn't it?
he's told a handful of people. he feels eggsy should be amongst them. ]
There's something I need to tell you. [ he says, after the usual small talk at the beginning of a conversation. ]

Hey— is Bellamy with you? [very casually just wondering and hoping she is concerned for no reason at all]
