He was just a little guy who dreamt of something cool happening to him. I wanted somebody who had a good heart and wanted to do something good with his life, but hadn’t been given any opportunity. So, I think fundamentally that’s what it’s about –- it’s about maximizing the potential of even the person you’ve written off. And Eggsy optimises that, really, because he goes from somebody you’d cross the street to avoid, to someone who’s deactivating a laser beam to stop Britain from being destroyed one day
